Growing up in a family that had six generations in the broking business, Aditi Nundy was no stranger to the stock market. Visiting the office with her father was one of her earliest childhood memories of the stock exchange.

Having become the director of Dayco India, one of the oldest stock broking companies in Kolkata, now she can't see herself being anywhere or doing anything else more fulfilling.

It was passion that helped her overcome the many hurdles and apprehensions that followed after she took over her father's business in 1993.

The Climb

Starting at the top in a male dominated industry was not an easy thing to do for a next generation business owner, and a woman.

Her father's peers questioned his decision to let her run the business. However, their lack of faith was of little consequence to her ambitions and her role as a boss. She was diplomatic and respectful when interacting with those same senior members and took their feedback in a constructive manner. After all, she was her father's daughter.

Growing with Vodafone

Her ability to manage individuals and her expertise in the field nurtured trust and confidence in her colleagues.

Dependability, according to Aditi, is vital to the industry. Clients need to be able to have faith that her business can address any orders at a moment's notice. Dayco India, being a network based company, needed to be able to connect with branches in remote, semi-urban, and rural areas.

Aditi employed Vodafone's Internet Leased Lines services to provide uninterrupted broadband connectivity between her offices.

Today, Dayco India is a Ready Business.
