    How can I check my settings?

    • I am using a Nokia Lumia Windows Mobile Phone.

    You would need to go to Settings > Mobile Network + SIM > Mobile Data > APN. Do ensure that the APN (Access Point Name) is “www”.

    • I am using an Apple iPhone.

    You would need to go to Settings > General > Network > Cellular Data Network > APN. Do ensure that the APN (Access Point Name) is “iphone”.

    • I am using an Android Phone.

    You would need to go to Settings > Wireless & Network > Mobile Networks > Access Point Names. Do ensure that the APN (Access Point Name) is “www”.

    • I am using a BlackBerry OS 10 Device.

    You would need to go to Settings > Network Connections > Mobile Network > APN. Do ensure that the APN (Access Point Name) is “www”.

    How can I Configure data settings?

    • You can dial *111# on your mobile phone,
    • After which you have to Select “Internet plan Details” and then,
    • Select “Download Internet Settings”.

    • Or

    • Just SMS "ALL" to 199 to get settings.

    How can I be sure about which Mobile Internet Plan/ Pack is good for me?

    You can use our Internet Usage Calculator to get an approximate usage based on the amount of time you spend on the Internet. You can use the “Recommended Plan For You” button to select the correct plan for you.

    If my usage is between 1GB & 2GB, should I take a 1GB Plan & pay the rest as PayGo?

    If your usage is more than 1GB it is always wise to take a 2GB plan. You would save by doing so. If your usage is below 1GB, then you should opt for a 1GB pack.

    How can I check which is my Mobile Internet plan?

    You can dial *111# from your mobile and select first the option “Internet Plan Details”and then “Active Plan Details” to check the amount used, the total quota and validity of your plan/ pack.

    How do I get to know whether I have used up my Mobile Internet usage quota? How do I keep a track of my Mobile internet usage while on PayGo? Is there a simple way to check usage?

    To ensure you are always aware and in control of your data consumption:

    • While you are on a data pack - You will receive SMS alerts at 80% and at 100% of your usage quota
    • While you are on standard PayGo rates - You will receive SMS alerts at every 25MB usage.

    • There are also multiple Self-Help options for you to check your internet usage:

    • You can dial *111# from your mobile and select first the option "Internet Plan Details"and then "Active Plan Details"
    • You can send an SMS "DATA BAL" to 199
    • You can check on the My Vodafone App selecting first "My Plan" section, and then "My Data Usage".

    What do I do if I have finished my regular pack and I still want to enjoy browsing without getting charged as per PayGo rates?

    If you are on any Regular Pack and you finished your quota you can opt for an Add on, an additional pack that allows you to enjoy speed and also not get charged as per Pay Go Rates till the usage defined for that particular Add on pack.
    Only one type of Add on pack can be activated in a particular bill cycle. It will automatically get deactivated once the bill cycle is over.

    What do I do if I have finished my unlimited pack, my speed has reduced and I want the speed once again?

    • If you are on Unlimited pack or a Bill Shield pack and you finished your quota you can opt for a Booster that gives you extra data and allows you to get back to your speed.
    • Remember that If you are on Unlimited pack, you can opt for a Booster only when your speed has been reduced. If you are on a Bill Shield pack, you can opt for a Booster only once your Bill Shield amount is reached.

    What is 3G?

    3G stands for third generation wireless. It is based on an International Telecommunication Union (ITU) initiative for a single global wireless standard called International Mobile Telecommunications-2000 (IMT-2000). It enhances the service experience such as multimedia, high speed mobile broadband, internet access with the ability to view video footage on your mobile handset. With a 3G phone and access to the Vodafone 3G network you can make video calls, watch live TV, access the high speed internet, receive emails and download music tracks, as well as the usual voice call and messaging services found on a mobile phone, like person to person video, live streaming, downloadable video of entertainment, news, current affairs and sport content and video messaging.

    Do I need a separate handset to use 3G services?

    Yes, in order to use 3G services you need to have a handset which is compatible with 3G network, in case you handset is already 3G compatible then you don’t need to purchase a new phone. Different 3G handsets have different speed capabilities, we recommend that you use an HSPA (High Speed Packet Access) enabled handset for the best experience.

    Do I need to configure any special settings on my phone to use 3G?

    Select 3G mode or Dual mode (Depends on device) to use 3G services on your phone. No other changes to be made in settings for using 3G services.

    What do I need to start using 3G?

    You only need to have 3G mobile phone compatible with 3G network and to activate a 3G Data Pack.

    My Smartphone keeps asking me to update the Apps & Softwares every now & then. How does this affect my Mobile Internet Usage?

    To be updated, any software or app update would use your Mobile Internet. If you have a Mobile Internet plan/ pack, the usage would be consumed from there. Otherwise it gets billed to you at 4p/10KB. Do remember that most Smartphones have an option of “Update Apps on Wi-Fi”. You may choose this option to reduce your Internet usage by Apps.

    What should I do if I have a dual SIM phone to get the best mobile internet experience?

    In case you are using a dual SIM phone, insert your Vodafone SIM card into the slot marked SIM Card 1. Then go to "Settings" and select "SIM 1" for data services.
