    How to get a new Connection? What are the documents required?


    The customer will have to submit following documents:

    • Original and photocopy of Photo Identity Proof
    • Original and photocopy of Local Address Proof
    • Copy of the Last Bill (Only for Postpaid)
    • PAN Card if Any
    • 2 Passport Size Color Photograph

    MNP forms will be available along with the CAF/CIF form at all Vodafone Stores and channel partner outlets

    What is the SMS Directive?


    SMS Directive

    For Postpaid:“Any SMS usage beyond 3000 SMS per month will be charged at standard rates”. Any SMS usage beyond 3000 SMS (within bundle or otherwise) per Bill Cycle per SIM will be charged at 1.00/1.50.

    For Prepaid: TRAI Regulation states that only up to 100 SMS per number per day can be charged at concessional rates, (if the customer has an SMS discounting offer). Beyond which, the customer is to be charged a minimum of 50p per SMS (this rate may be higher depending on the base rate of the customer). Although there is no Capping/Limit on the number of SMS an individual can send, the number of free SMS or SMS at tariff less than 50ps per SMS shall not exceed 100 SMS per SIM per day.

    This Regulation is applicable for all Prepaid/Postpaid Customers for of all operators in all circles across India.

    All SMSs sent while on Roaming (National or International) will be part of this regulation. The 100 SMS Cap covers all SMSs : Local/STD/ISD/Premium and Toll Free SMS (Short Codes) also. For eg. All SMSs sent to 56789 will all be part of this regulation.

    What is my Credit limit?


    Credit Limit is the maximum amount limit offered to customer for monthly usage.

    Your dynamic credit limit depends on the security deposit you’ve paid, your average monthly usage, payment track record and how long you’ve been with us. Vodafone may at its discretion, allow usage (including Voice, SMS, VAS and Data) beyond the dynamic credit limit (DCL) on a month to month basis without changing the DCL assigned to you. Hence, the DCL may not restrict your usage. Due to unavoidable reason / reasons beyond our control (system related) the intimation regarding utilisation of DCL may be delayed / deferred.

    To increase your dynamic credit limit, you have to make an additional payment towards your security deposit. You can also increase / decrease your dynamic credit limit by sending SMS IL / DL < desired credit limit > to 199 (toll free)
